Pelagic Sea Birds

This section contains birds that live in the Pelagic Zone. In other words they spend their lives either seemingly  gliding effortlessly above the surface of the ocean or resting on it.
New Zealand’s  pelagic seabirds spend their entire life at sea only visiting the land to breed and raise their chicks.
New Zealand has the highest numbers of different Albatross species in the world.
