pīpīwharauroa the Shining Cuckoo

pīpīwharauroa the shining cuckoo summers over here in New Zealand laying its eggs in the Grey Warbler nest.
Shining cuckoos migrate here from  Bismarck Archipelago (New Guinea) and the Solomon Islands. These birds are difficult to photograph as they are often heard but seldom seen this makes them one of my favourites just for the challenge.
I have to admit it took a few years of trying before I started to get a few shots on my cameras memory card.

Boney Whitefoot offers customised Bird Photography Workshops for those keen to develop their photographic skills.
